The Folk and Tribal Art Educational Trip takes school and college groups through K.C. Aryan's Home of Folk Art in DLF Phase 1, Gurugram, one of India's most distinctive collections of folk, tribal and neglected art. Founded in 1984 by the noted painter, sculptor and art historian Mr K.C. Aryan, author of 23 scholarly books, the museum lets students move through galleries of bronzes, paintings, metal crafts, papier mache, textiles, terracottas and wood crafts, many of them now extinct elsewhere. It is a focused, low cost heritage outing that connects classroom lessons in Indian art, history and culture to real artefacts, guided by the family trust that cares for the collection. Entry and group rates are on request.
