This one does not. You drive out to Sector 82, Greater Faridabad, about 45 minutes from South Delhi, and walk into a working equestrian estate at 3 PM. There is coffee waiting. Before anyone gets near a horse, the group actually meets: a proper round of introductions, so you spend the afternoon with people rather than next to them. Then you ride. A guided session in the open arena with a coach and handlers, on Marwari horses that are handled every day by the stable team. Nobody here expects you to have ridden before. All the kit, helmets and body protectors included, comes with the ticket, handlers stay within arms length of beginners, and the session is built so a complete first timer gets on, moves, and comes off grinning. After that it is food. Wood fired pizza or pasta at Caffe Cavallo, the Italian kitchen on the estate, eaten outside on the lawn while the light drops over the paddock.
