Ghalib Academy is a cultural and literary institution in New Delhi, established in 1969 and run by a registered society. Founded by Hakeem Abdul Hameed and dedicated to the poet Mirza Ghalib, the Academy houses the Ghalib Museum, a research library of over ten thousand books, a 200 seat auditorium, a book centre, and training centres that teach Urdu, Arabic and Khattati calligraphy. It has been a centre of Delhi literary, scholarly and cultural life for over five decades, hosting seminars, symposia and mushairas.
